DOZENS of children from schools across the borough have competed in the first Havering School Games Mini Tennis tournament.
It took place on Friday at Hylands tennis club, in Hylands Park, Hornchurch.
Havering School Games organiser, Sharon Phillips, said “I am extremely pleased that we have had seven local schools participating in the event. Lots of kids love playing tennis and the support of clubs like Hylands is key to deliver inter schools competition”
Lynn O’Brien, the Essex County LTA executive officer said “I am delighted to see so many kids involved at any standard. This shows that no matter how little tennis you have done, everyone can take part.”
