Guides lead the way in awards

AWARD: Bethany Linnel.

NINETY Guides from Hornchurch, Romford, Thurrock, and Upminster, were presented with awards at the Queens Theatre, Hornchurch.
The girls were nominated by their peers and leaders for a variety of achievements but mostly for doing their best.
Ten adults were also presented with Jack Petchy awards on Thursday for their ability to motivate young people.
Kate Lewin, 13, who attends second Gidea Park, Romford, and Bethany Linnell age 18, who attends seventh Upminster were awarded for giving encouragement when needed and becoming excellent patrol leaders.
