Hornchurch traders battle for Best of British title

SHOPKEEPERS across Hornchurch are keeping their fingers crossed in the hope of winning the most patriotic shop award.
For the last two weeks, shop fronts have been decorated with all things red white and blue in the hope of becoming the winner of Havering council’s best of British competition.
Manager of House of Couture, Hilary Goldberg said: "We’ve all had the decorations up for two weeks now, and just have to wait to see who has won."
The five best shops will be notified by councillors next week.
Then, one will be picked as the official winner.
